Based at Rochdale Road Medical Centre in Middleton Manchester, we are the first Charity to align ourselves with a Clincal Health Care partner.
Dr Salman Shahid and his team has taken ownership of Integrated care in the Rochdale Borough. Healing Humanity has been set up to help patients and the wider community with Social Care in food provision, benefits support, well-being and directed help to the more at-risk category of people. These include older adults, disabled, people fleeing domestic abuse and single parent families.
So many people are relying on food banks to feed children and themselves as they are unable for whatever reason to work and earn enough to support. Healing Humanity is working with local food provisions to provide food to those in need.
In addition, there are many people who cannot access help. This may be down to health, age, mental health, embarrassment, or culture. We are a befriending charity who will deliver food to the door. This also enables us to check up on mental and physical health.
Integrated care is the way forward and we are at the forefront of this. Healing Humanity is also trying reach out people internationally who are in needs.
